The products of the AMINO ULTRA® series incorporate the GCAA technology of the INTERMAG company, thanks to which the trace nutrients are complexed with Glycine, thus achieving a faster and more efficient delivery of nutrients to the plants, in a high concentration and extremely low dose, while at the same time providing the useful for plants amino acid Glycine. They are available in the Greek market exclusively from Agriside Cropcare.

The amino acid Glycine (2-Aminoethanolic acid, C2H5NO2, Glycine, abbreviated Gly, G) is a white, crystalline, odorless and sweet compound, the simplest of the 20 amino acids from which the proteins of organisms are composed (proteinogenic amino acids), necessary for the synthesis of the bases that make up DNA and RNA. Together with Glutamic acid and magnesium it plays an important role in the production of chlorophyll and consequently in photosynthesis. Also, together with Glutamic acid and Cysteine, it forms the tripeptide Glutathione, a substance of great importance for the antioxidant protection of cells. Therefore, within the plant Glycine contributes, among other things, significantly to the protection against stress.

Glycine is the smallest and most mobile amino acid, so it is absorbed faster than other amino acids by plants.

In aqueous solution, Glycine dissociates and creates a diionic form (dipolar ion, Zwitterion) due to the transfer of an H+ from the carboxyl group to the amino group, so it can combine with nutrient cations and anions. Therefore, Glycine is an ideal agent for creating chelate complexes with nutrients, so that they are taken up and used by plants immediately and quickly, since the complex is recognized by plants as a molecule “familiar” and useful for them. In fact, Glycine is up to 4 times smaller molecule than the usual chelating agents (EDTA, DTPA, etc.). It therefore allows extremely fast penetration through the hymen pores and through the stomata of the leaves, but also rapid internal movement through the plant structure.

At the same time, the biodegradability of glycine makes the products complexed with glycine environmentally friendly. Indeed, glycine in the environment has over 70% more biodegradation and therefore a smaller environmental footprint, compared to EDTA, DTPA, EDDHA.

The AMINO ULTRA® series of preparations includes products in the form of ultra-microgranules, with a high content of nutrients, specially designed for foliar applications in all crops: The series includes either products with pure nutrients (Fe, Mn, Zn, Cu, Ca) in sufficient content – concentration, or a mixture of nutrients in a specially studied content and ratio to meet the needs of a specific physiological function of the plant, such as the production of chlorophyll or for the special nutritional needs of a specific group of plants. AMINO ULTRA® series products are based on INTERMAG’s innovative, patented GCAA technology, thanks to which trace nutrients are complexed with the amino acid Glycine. GCAA technology ensures excellent complexation, availability, speed of absorption, movement and utilization of the supplied nutrients. Thus we have much greater efficiency and targeted nutrition of the plants, even in adverse environmental conditions, with a lower application dose and safety for the plants and the user.

The complex of the nutrient element with Glycine applied foliarly, penetrates directly and completely into the leaves and moves in all directions inside the plant, ensuring fast and effective nutrition, thus contributing to uninterrupted plant growth.
